Those who frequent the blog will recognize this face. I was lucky to have obtained this DoT M. Kaillar head with the original limited company faceup in December, and finally put him together. He is now on a Domuya Flexi D1 Perennial boy body, making him the biggest of all my dolls. He doesn’t have much in the way of clothing yet, but really it’s just an excuse on my part to show off his beautifully detailed body.
His eyes were a lucky find on DoA. I think they’re incredible.
There is a slight difference in the color of the resin between his head and body, so I will be blushing him to match better. I’m also planning on restringing and possibly changing the hooks in his hands to help him pose. The Domuya body is incredibly solid and heavy, which makes him somewhat difficult to balance. I’ve been spoiled by Ember and Shiro’s painless standing abilities!
I don’t fully know “who” or “what” he is yet, but I’m sure he will make himself known soon.
There is nothing in world quite as satisfying as giving an unloved doll a fresh new start.
